European Maple

European Maple is very light in colour tone and sapwood and heartwood cannot easily be distinguished from each other. It is a medium hard wood and is very wear-resistant. It gives interior decor a lively, fresh atmosphere. It retains its fresh luminosity over the years. European Maple is a little bit softer than Canadian Maple.

European Maple grows in Central Europe (Acer Pseudoplatanus = European Maple). European Maple grows to a height of 69 - 121 ft with a trunk diameter 24-35 in, and sometimes even up 71 in. The tree trunks are usually straight and have quite a long knotless section at the base.

Janka-hardness 1238.
